| Comments (1)

watching-tv-shows-on-computer-by-The-Doctr.jpg Did you know that you can get some of the exact same channels that you watch on cable and satellite television right on your computer?

Well...you can!

If you're paying $90 or more a month to have cable or satellite television then you're paying too much.

There is a wealth of television available online that is easy to access and watch if you know where to look.

That is the biggest thing: knowing where to find what you're looking for. Because believe me, as much good stuff as there is available online, there is just as much junk.

Whatever you do, do not buy one of those software packages that "gives you satellite TV on your computer." Nearly all of them are a scam, and you can actually get the same software for free! Yup, that's right for FREE, and I'll tell you how to do that.

Here are 7 free programs that enable you to watch TV and movies on your computer...

Frugal Halloween Tips

where-halloween-threw-up-by-roadsidepictures.jpg Financial guru Suze Orman says don’t buy all that Halloween stuff!

She was recently on the Today Show and she told a story about running into a woman at a department store.  The woman was very excited to see her and proceeded to explain to her son who she was.  Suzie looked into the woman’s cart and saw all kinds of Halloween stuff and candies.  Suzie looked at the woman’s son and asked, “Can your mother afford all of these things?”  The son answered “no”.  All of the items went back on the shelf.

halloween-candy-by-rochelle-et-al.jpg I had an argument with my 12-year-old daughter on the same subject recently.  We were buying groceries and she began to put Halloween candy in my shopping cart.  I started putting it back.  I told her that if I had extra money for Halloween candy then I would buy some at that time.  Until then, it was the last thing on my mind.  In her argument, she implied that it was my duty to supply Halloween candy to the neighborhood kids and she implied that I should go as far as to try to give out the best candy.  I doubt that will happen.

Halloween is probably the most popular holiday on the planet (in one form or another).  People love dressing up in costumes, going to parties, and getting and giving away candies.  People also spend a great deal of money on Halloween -- even if it means going into debt to purchase all of those fun things.  This is not smart.

You can still enjoy Halloween while staying within your budget.  Here's how...

GoodSearch.com - An Easy Way To Donate Money To Charity Every Time You Search Online

| Comments (0)

goodsearch-logo.gif GoodSearch.com is a website that enables you to give monetary donations to charity without taking any money out of your own pocket.

After registering with GoodSearch, you designate a charity you want them to donate money to.  Then, with every online search you conduct, GoodSearch will donate 50% of its revenues earned from those searches to your designated charity.

The money comes from GoodSearch's advertisers, as people click on ads at the GoodSearch website. You can also set up buttons on your website to invite others to search, shop and donate money to your favorite charities.

We estimate that each web search will generate approximately $0.01 for the designated charity or school (image, video and site-specific searches are not included). It quickly adds up!
